RMM Artbooks No.09 — Soft As Snow (But Warm Inside), by Ken Ngan (Hong Kong)
Soft As Snow (But Warm Inside) is a documentary snap shots of the artist’s daily life. The inspiration is drawn from immediate surroundings and shoot at the moment to capture the state of in-between, which is the instant momentum rather than the narrative and the moment when things do not fit. The artist is addicted to bad taste in a good way and as a misfit idea, which inspires a more unexpected perspective.
About the Artist:
Ken Ngan Siu Kei is a photographer who was born in 1982 in Hong Kong. He finds that working in photography gives him a more complete self. The medium delivers the idea and thoughts from his mind directly and spontaneously. Photography’s ability to capture the “reality or evidence of one moment” fascinates him a lot; this is to him bigger than any other medium.
