Feed Your Heart with A Piece of Homemade Cake
Charlie Marckesy once said that “If at first you don’t succeed, have some cake!” Interestingly enough, it’s true every time! Indeed, a nice piece of cake can always nourish one’s heart when we lack inspiration, have a hectic day, or feel a bit nostalgic! (You won’t believe how much cake I consumed while working on Issue 4!)Yet, compared to all those fancy processed cakes that might bring a sugar rush, the cakes I truly love are always freshly made at home! Because nothing says merriment and excitement than a homemade cake! Not only because it’s cheaper and ‘cleaner’ (you know what the ingredients are), making cakes is also a self-realisation process where you can slow down your thoughts and enjoy a pure moment with yourself!
Mondays may be tough but why not feed your heart with a piece of homemade cake this week? FYI, my favourite homemade recipe must be the Burnt Basque Cheesecake by Lauren! It’s rich in taste, but still manageable for cake beginners like ME! And if you have any cheesecake recipes in mind, feel free to share with me at firstname.lastname@example.org ( ´▽｀) Can’t wait to bake!
